Bongianino included it in his list of dated Maghribi Qur’ans after seeing images of it sent to him by Professor ʿAbd Allah al-Munif. The copyist’s nisba points to Badajoz, which the Almoravids took in 487 AH / 1094 CE.

The leaf with the colophon seems to be lost, so the date can no longer be checked, and the place of copying is unknown.
